Dead Plans

My plans never seem to work out like I want them to. This weekend I was supposed to catch up on the house and work. I wanted to knock a bunch of stuff out so I could enjoy the summer (since it starts for Corey this week).

Well, Friday I fell asleep as soon as I got home. Saturday I decided I wanted to make cupcakes, but the only store that sells what I need to make them is like 1/2 an hour away. Not only that, they were sold out, so I had to drive another 15 minutes to find another one. Then I went grocery shopping because it was on the way back and decided to stop and grab pizza for dinner. My favorite pizza place is closed. I wanted it so bad, I had to find another NY style pizzeria. I did, and it wasn’t nearly as good.

So Jay calls me up around 7 and says “When can you be here?” He’s been asking me to ride along with him and he wanted me go to out with him for a couple of hours. I got home at 5:30am. So then, naturally, I slept in until 12:30. I’ve been trying to balance cleaning, working, and watching a movie since then. I just hate cleaning too much for it to keep my attention.

I guess I’ll need to get Corey to help me finish up with the house. Then maybe on a day Jay has off I’ll have him play with Corey a while so I can catch up on my work. It really would have been nice to use this weekend for its intended purpose, but it was still a good weekend.

The important thing is that you had a good weekend, and you got to do something different, plus, bond with Jay.

I could never have that kind of plan for housework and me time. If I did actual cleaning, I’d spend all day on it. Because I tend to just stare at it longer then I actually do anything about it. xD I’m horrible.

I didn’t do too much better..

  6. Charlene says:

I decided that it was best to never really make an plans because things usually never work out the way you want them. With a child you especially can’t make plans. They are such unpredictable creatures.

It happens. At least nothing really bad happens. Although it does suck when a bunch of little things don’t turn out how you’d like them to. They can add up.

Got something to say? Go for it!
