Nothing quite kills a blog better than someone working hard to customize it and getting it just how they like it, then a script update breaking the thing. Especially right before the holidays. I hate when my intentions are thwarted by circumstances out of my control. But that’s what life is, isn’t it?

Since the update to the latest WordPress version I’ve been locked out of my admin panel and that’s why you’ve seen no posts from me. I kept putting it off and putting it off, expecting it to be some big thing I was going to have to deal with. Today I decided to see just how involved it was and basically, it was replacing my WordPress theme. Problem with this is, I spent hours fiddling with the CSS on the theme and making it just perfect and I really didn’t want to do it over again. Of course, the theme I’m using released a working version, but didn’t explain what the minimums were to get it rolling again. Thankfully, I’m not a noob.

I replaced the bare minimum files on the theme until it started working again. I’m happy I didn’t have to redo my stylesheets, because this blog would probably be dead if that were the case. I really should make a custom stylesheet for it, but I just don’t have the patience for it right now.

So how is 2013 treating you all so far?!
