Welcome to Day 1

Today is day 1 (of 90) for my new little weight loss and toning plan. This plan is supposed to incorporate P90X, but may not start out that way considering it hasn’t arrived yet. But that’s okay. Meanwhile, I’m taking advantage of my Wii Fit. I’ve also started my Weight Smart Advanced vitamins again. I don’t quite feel normal since I’ve started taking the vitamin, but it’s only for 3 months. I don’t want to work my body and then not give it the nutrients it needs to repair itself, plus I want to get the most out of these 3 months.

So I figure I’ll give updates on my progress on Mondays. I’m also going to take photos. They’re going to be so embarrassing, but I’ve found that looking back and seeing a difference really excites and motivates me.

So today on my Wii Fit I created a new Mii (because it won’t let me update my goal on the old one) and she was very pretty until I got on the board, then it made her fat. Anyway, the BMI is listed as 27.36 (anything above 25 is supposed to be overweight [bad]) and my first goal is to be at a BMI of 26.96, which is a loss of 2.5lbs. The first goal is 1 month. Now, I’m not working on a weight loss goal, really, because I know I’ll be gaining muscle, which weighs more than fat. And I know the Wii Fit can’t tell the difference. I also know at first I may appear bigger because of the muscles forming under my fat, but also because I have to make the muscles before they can burn more energy to help me lose fat.

I also intend to redesign this site today, but we’ll see how well that works out.
