About Me

My personality type is INTP (Introvert, iNtuitive, Thinker, Perceiver), and it describes me very well. This makes me a very hard person to get along with. I tend to think of things logically, instead of emotionally and have a hard time understanding how people fit emotions into logical situations. I always tell the truth and never sugar coat it, and my friends know that so they only ask my opinion when they want the full truth.

INTPs represent between 3 and 5% of the U.S. population

Intensely intellectual and logical, INTPs are conceptual problem solvers and often show flashes of creative brilliance. Outwardly quiet, reserved, and detached, INTPs are inwardly absorbed in analyzing problems. They are critical, precise, and skeptical and are driven to find and use logical principles to understand their many ideas. They like conversation to be high level and purposeful and may argue to the point of hairsplitting just for fun. INTPs are convinced almost exclusively by logical reasoning.

They set high standards – for themselves and for others. INTP’s think in extremely complex ways and are generally better at organizing new concepts and ideas than at organizing other people. Highly independent, INTP’s tend to be more interested in finding creative solutions to problems than implementing them on the ground level.

I’m 28 and I live in Beaufort, SC with my husband, Jay, and my two boys, Michael and Corey. I have been building and maintaining websites since 1998 and have been hosting websites professionally since 2002. I have  lived in Beaufort for a year now and haven’t been extremely happy here. I’ve had to give up my iPhone (because AT&T doesn’t work here) and I’ve started to gain weight because there’s nothing to do. A couple of years ago I lost 70lbs by walking around the neighborhood talking to my best friend Steph, because she had AT&T too and it was free to talk to eachother. I also began doing Yoga, walking my dog, and my son Michael came home after being away at school for a year. Now I’ve gained back about 20lbs, but I’m learning to make the most of it and working to gain more local friends and lose the weight again.

In 2010 I started my journey as an Avon Representative and I love it. It’s so much fun! I am a leadership representative, so in addition to selling the products I also inspire and mentor other great women in starting their own business and taking it wherever they want it to go. My mom was an Avon Representative when I was little and the only thing I still have from my childhood is a bear she got me from Avon when I was 1, so I kind of feel like it’s in my blood. If you’re interested in joining as well, you can join my team using reference code ASOESBEE on startavon.com.

Music is a large part of my life, even though I’m probably tone deaf. I would listen to music all day if I could. I’m not sure if it occupies my mind or what, but I always work better, sleep better, and am generally happier when music is played more often. My favorite band is Three Days Grace and I’ve seen them in concert about 6 times, as well as met them at each meet and greet I could get my hands on. My favorite type of music has always been alternative, but there are so many styles now, it’s hard to remember what they call them. I have a big soft spot for 90′s music.

I also enjoy creating, designing, and maintaining websites, though I don’t have a creative bone in my body. I’ve never been great with graphics, but coding has always come easy to me. I kind of miss the old days when Paint Shop Pro was the best and so was I. Palace dolls were cool and I made them better than anyone. Now graphics have gotten all complex and I haven’t grown with the times. I will like working on websites, but usually find my graphics through friends or stock image websites.

I’ve always had a sneaking interest in photography, too, but I was never any good at it. I like taking pictures, but never had any interest in what all the buttons on the camera were for. Recently I’ve  been trying to work on getting into taking more photos and I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. Who knows, maybe I’ll take it of Auto one of these times and try to do it right. I do want to take a lot more photos of my kids, because I wish my parents had. I wish I could go back and take more photos and show more interest in my kids as they were smaller, but because I can’t I’m trying to make the best of the time I have with them now. There’s a lot of wisdom I’ve gained over the years through maturity that I wish I was born with.
